Updated "Banana Man" Spreads

Spreads I am tweaking and refining throughout the quarter until I have a website and it is portfolio worthy. The method of showing my process with the quick thumbnail to plot out shapes, the sketch to establish basic characteristics and positioning, and then the inking and coloring is borrowed from Stephen Silver. I have one of his books and I think it really captures the key moments when it comes to working on a digital painting.

GHSTMT

This is my first attempt at artwork for Ghostmeat (GHSTMT). A few of my friends from school have known him for a few years and have been part of his creative crew doing things like music videos, design, and stickers. Out of chance I ended up meeting him and becoming friends. I look forward to seeing his music reach more and more people and use that as a platform to showcase my work.

Frustrated Middle Aged Man

I used a new brush pen I just got this weekend to do this. Also, I used a thin felt tip marker. I think my next project will be a self portrait in this style.

Faces

A page from my sketchbook. Planning on doing more like this and picking a few unique ones for my website.

Greasers Colored

This is a digital painting I've done the past few days. A gang of greasers from New Jersey hang out by the power plant on the outskirts of the city. Danny, the chubby fella eating bananas has a potassium deficiency so he carries around bananas wherever he goes. (This was before supplements). Danny ends up eating some bananas soaked in radioactive waste and turns into the Banana Man.

Psychedelic Face

wild and crazy guy

An old drawing I found that I had fun coloring. I would like to add more and make this part of a poster design with big wavy bubbly lettering... I'm trying to show more of my process as I begin collecting things for my portfolio.
